So, with over a month since my last post, it's likely most of you had since forgotten about my blog. I know I had! Got kinda busy, and also started writing over at QuietSpeculation in the Finance Insider area. I would really appreciate those of you who are interested, to check it out. My column is titled "Draftcycling" where each piece will discuss tips in keeping your drafts cheap/free.
I don't want this blog to disappear, as a few of you out there (thanks Corbin) have been asking, "where's the blog?" and other similar comments. Well, I don't know. The idea of an MTG Review, certainly was a good one, I was surprised at how many people enjoyed it. I'd be selling the idea short, if I didn't really do a full review of everything out there on some kind of regular schedule. Time has shown, that I simply won't do this. I'm brainstorming other ideas, of how I can reinvigorate this blog, keep its idea pure, but not really have to summarize or review dozens of posts and articles every week. I'd also want to be able to support my fellow QuietSpec writers, without there being an apparent bias.
One thing I had considered, is to have maybe two posts per week. On Friday, i would have a "Follow Friday" Post, discussing my favorite Twitter Highlights of the week, and could selfishly elaborate a bit more on the people whom I'd like to give #FF shoutouts to. I would also then do a Sunday Night or Monday Morning post, that would highlight a select one or two articles or blogposts that I especially liked that week, rather than posting about everything I read, and giving it thumbs up and thumbs down.
Let me know if there are other ideas, or if you like the ones I posted.
At some point soon, I'd like to include some information about drafting on here too, mostly so i can go back and review what I thought about cards before, and see how things are changing over time, and this of course would be public so others can view it.
I like the idea of elaborating on the Twitter conversations of the week, as well as the #FF idea. I'm not sure Sunday or Monday is the best time to post about the previous week's content, though.
